Sarah is a speech-language pathologist, who works to improve the lives of children and adults with speech, language, oral motor, and orofacial myology disorders.  Taking speech and language therapy to the next level, Sarah offers highly individualized and specialized assessments and treatment in her private therapy setting.  Private therapy sessions allow for increased flexibility for assessments and treatment from the traditional educational and medical models.

Sarah received her B.S. from Western Michigan University and her M.S. from Purdue University.  These are two of the top Speech-Language Pathology programs in the country, and she had the opportunity to gain experience in all aspects of speech and language disorders.

Sarah holds her current certification of clinican competence from the Amercian Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA) as well as has licensure in the states of Michigan, Montana, Kentucky, and Wyoming as she can provide teletherapy to individuals in those states.

In addition to her college education, she has received intensive instruction and training in the specialty area of Orofacial Myology and oral habit control and is in the certification track to become a certified Orofacial Myologist.  She is a member of the International Association of Orofacial Myology (AOM).  She is the only Speech-Language Pathologist in the greater Muskegon area with this training.  Also, she recently completed oral motor training and is a trained Beckman Oral Motor therapist.

She worked tirelessly in the school setting for 12 years providing speech and language therapy to children of a variety of ages and with many different disabilities, including developmental delays, Autism, Apraxia of Speech, Cerebral Palsy, Cleft Palate, Down Syndrome, Hearing Disorders, Speech disorders, and Language Disorders.  During this time, she completed intensive training for early intervention and the evaluation and treatment for children with Autism Spectrum disorders through START (Statewide Autism Resources and Training Project).
